Grant Summary
Artist Statement
Everything that I make comes from a deep love of tradition. My Tlingit ancestors reserved Chilkat weaving for women and Two Spirit folks, and my practice restores the honor that non-binary tribal members knew before colonization. Drag has also been a medium that I use to upset and unlearn colonization.
