I am not the model minority. In fact, the contradictions that I embody as a Japanese / American artist fuel my diverse body of work. Rooted in community, I view civic engagement with diverse groups to the shaping of people's histories in exhibitions as interconnected outcomes of my ever evolving artistic process.
