Support for "The Discovery of American Silent Feature Films: 1912-1929", a reimagining of 12 missing early films which may have had integrated casts and/or been directed by black filmmakers.
I work primarily with two forms of media: video and photography. I consider both tools for exploring social-economic juxtaposition, human conflict, historical reflection, place-based adventure, and the beauty that is plainly in view. My work is motivated by the prospect of cultural exchange and aims to push the formal boundaries of photography and film by combining an impressionistic technique with the control of traditional cinema.
