Support for ongoing work.
As an installation artist, organizer, and facilitator in Cleveland, OH, I design collaborative social experiments and public installations that invite people into bodily encounters with how we conceptualize (or ignore) particular cultural realities. These projects unfold as a series of dialogues, public interviews, and attempts to put a central topic into material form in order to interrogate it more fully. Those who participate end up creating a dynamic, four-dimensional essay. I am deeply inspired by artists whose work skirts the edge between social transformation and public art, finding this edge to be a place where the impossible can become possible and new cultural practices can be incubated.
