I am a writer and performing artist born in New York City, raised in Southern California and currently living in Des Moines, Iowa. For the past ten years, I have been creating original solo performances that weave memoir, history and fantasy through characters whose realities are variously comic, tragic and a little bizarre. SHE IS KING reenacts three interviews of tennis trailblazer Billie Jean King and has been presented in Des Moines, IA and New York City. The show has been developed over the past two years with support from the Art Matters Foundation, Yip Harburg Foundation, Iowa Arts Council and Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant.
